AIM Star Sapphire Director Promotion

During 2011, my sweet three-year-old Leia, fondly known rather as Lulubelle, seemed to be on the verge of taking her last breath in my arms, awakening in the middle of night with a severe croup attack. She was immediately taken to emergency by ambulance to resuscitate her. It was the fright of my life that resulted in discovering that Leia was asthmatic.

This meant that she was condemned to the chronic use of cortisone, regular adrenaline for resuscitation and routine visits to the emergency room. Coincidentally, Leia’s first asthma attack happened the night before my five-year-old Chelsea had to be hospitalized for a malignant bone tumor removal and graft in her scapula. As they say: “It never rains, it just pours”.

In 2014, I was extremely grateful when my upline, AIM Director Marinda van den Bosch, introduced me to AIM Royal Emerald Director Madaleine Helm, who spoke one evening about her struggles with her asthmatic son. Madaleine used nutrition to turn around his plight, rather than feed her child chemicals that the medical industry has us believe are the only way to control such conditions.

I adopted Madaleine’s methodology and began habits that help keep the body environment healthy so that cancer and other diseases cannot survive.

I subsequently took Lulubelle off her meds cold turkey and started her on a full serving of the Garden Trio and FloraFood. Having always been somewhat savvy about nutrition and very keen on the idea of clean eating, I loved the idea of getting my girls onto BarleyLife and other AIM supplements that I deemed essential.

I also thought that I would try the business side of AIM purely to fund the cost of the products we would take. After all, I’m a single mom and already have a few work and community commitments that keep me really busy.

My AIM business grew easily as people came to hear Madaleine speak and share her many years of experience. People realized that these products really do work and can indeed change lives. Within six months, I reached Director and a few months later had two Directors in my downline. One is my closest friend, Chantel Bester, who is the most unspeakably amazing support in this business. Most recently, my third Director has put me at the Star Sapphire level.

AIM has become a remarkable supplement to my income. I find such joy and fulfilment helping my downline grow their businesses. I am inexplicably grateful for my wonderful upline who continue to support me and for my go-getter downline who take teamwork to a whole new level. I am completely blessed beyond!

Health Success with AIM BarleyLife

Back in February 2017, AIM Director Madeline Lagarde had just placed a sizeable phone order for BarleyLife when she told the customer service representative her good news. She and her husband, Dennis, were selling the “heck” out of BarleyLife at the Whole Health Market that they own and operate in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. The reason? Their son Dennis Jr, who is a registered nurse, has been telling people about his son Cameron’s health success from taking BarleyLife.

In September of 2015, Cameron thought he had pulled a muscle in his lower chest area. His father thought it could be costochondritis—inflammation of the rib-cage cartilage—because the pain would come and go. About a year later at the age of fourteen, Cameron was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that had formed a baseball-sized tumor that was attached to his rib cage. Surgery was not an option because of its size and location.

“Cameron underwent chemotherapy; there is a high probability of curing this type of cancer,” Dennis explained. “But we wanted to do everything nutritionally possible for him. So he started taking BarleyLife as foundational nutrition to counteract the treatment’s major side effects: brain swelling, sterility and cardiomyopathy.”

During the initial bouts of chemo, Cameron would not eat or drink anything except for the BarleyLife. And then in the third week came the emotional effects of hearing the tragic news that his niece had drowned.

At the same time, he was physically doing so well that his mother started to refer to the cancer as a non-event. His immune system was so strong. Dennis added, “I’ve seen that with BarleyLife before back in 2000, when it helped my grandfather battle leukemia. It stimulates red and white blood cell production.”

At the twelve-week mark of Cameron’s treatment, an MRI revealed that the tumor had shrunk from the size of a baseball to that of a golfball, so surgery was scheduled for December 2016. At operation time, only a small, round film that resembled a soap bubble was found and removed. The pathologist and oncologist argued about who would deliver the good news because they never had results as good as this.

Cameron has not missed a serving of BarleyLife (7 capsules every morning and evening) since the first week of September 2016. In July 2017, tests showed that Cameron was cancer-free. As a fitting present to go along with the gift of health, Cameron and Dennis visited Disney World courtesy of Make-A-Wish®.

Dennis plans on building a website that teaches people to manage chemotherapy with foundational products like BarleyLife. “It’s simple,” Dennis stated. “If you put regular fuel in a Ford Mustang, it runs okay. But give it racing fuel, and it runs optimally. BarleyLife gives you racing fuel.”

The Opportunity to Help Others with Nutrition Truths

Shared by Herman Bloemhof Shared by Herman Bloemhof AIM Director

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2014. We didn’t know about any alternative options or nutrition, so she endured a terrible route of treatments: six weeks of chemotherapy, a double-breast mastectomy, radiation therapy and expensive medication that cost over $2,000 a month, all of which damaged her overall health and caused horrific side effects. After all of these treatments, we got hold of a documentary called The Truth about Cancer and began exploring more about nutrition.

Madaleine Helm, a nutrition advisor and AIM Royal Emerald Director, introduced us to the AIM products, which we started taking a few months after my wife’s treatments. We followed Madaleine’s suggested regimen, but the damage had already been done. We couldn’t turn around all of the side effects fast enough.

One of my wife’s wishes while she was still in hospital was that I had to share everything we learned with our three boys, their future wives and children, friends and anybody who wanted to live a healthy life. At that point in time, my heart was broken. I reminded her that the healthy route we tried wasn’t working for her, and she reminded me that we had started too late; the damage had already been done. Sadly, I lost her in September 2016.

We never planned to develop an AIM business. We only wanted to use the opportunity to help those who are ill and those that don’t want to become ill, showing them the natural way to live a healthy, disease-free life as we believe God created man to experience.

In less than four months of joining AIM, I became a Director. I have continued to take the products and follow a healthy lifestyle. Many people ask me what I’m doing as they can see that I have lost a lot of weight, and I’m feeling the best I’ve felt in my whole life.

I have to say that in the first few months following my wife’s death, it slowed me a bit down in planning and facilitating talks and selling AIM products. But after attending the AIM Celebration in Nashville, I decided that I had to continue as she wished: doing talks and consultations and spreading the good news. I also decided to name my AIM business “Nutrition Truths.”

First we give all the glory to God, advising people who come to the talks about the natural way that we believe He intended. When treating illnesses, we should not be enslaved by all the medicines that have numerous side effects. I am a pharmacist by occupation although I’m no longer directly involved in the pharmaceutical environment. With my “New Truths” learned—and walking the talk—I don’t believe in chronic long-term medication. I have converted to the natural route.

I can’t explain how this AIM thing is just working and doing the best for me. I’ve lost more than fifty pounds (27 kilos) by following this natural route of using AIM products.

I am taking the following AIM products:

  • AIMega contains the essential fatty acids that keep my heart healthy and help prevent blood clots.
  • Without my daily Garden Trio, I just can’t function. BarleyLife makes my day just gel. Just Carrots helps keep my cells healthy, and RediBeets helps keep my liver healthy.
  • Herbal Fiberblend capsules help to cleanse my bowels and detoxify my body.
  • GinkgoSense also assists in preventing blood clots.
  • Peak Endurance: Wow! Without this energy drink, I would definitely not be able to keep my busy daily schedule.I am so passionate about my new way of living!

Education with a Nutritional Advantage

Healthy lunches, snack foods and beverages can make a difference in the physical and mental performance of students. That’s why many schools are making changes as to what is available in school cafeterias and vending machines.Healthy lunches, snack foods and beverages can make a difference in the physical and mental performance of students. That’s why many schools are making changes as to what is available in school cafeterias and vending machines.

A 2017 paper entitled “School Lunch Quality and Academic Performance” shows schools that contract with vendors providing healthy school lunches have a student population that scores higher on achievement tests. Such results support the long-argued medical and nutrition literature that a healthy diet can improve cognitive function.

Student services at the University of British Columbia easily lay out the physical and mental benefits of eating well:

  • More energy
  • Consistent energy levels throughout the day
  • Feel full longer
  • Healthy weight management
  • Stronger bones and muscles
  • Improved immune system
  • Improved ability to focus on tasks like studying and writing

But let’s face it, no matter what their age, most students will not eat well consistently. That is where moms and dads can step in and give their children of all ages an education with the nutritional advantage of AIM supplements.

Introducing AIM products into the lives of children can make a huge difference in their physical health and academic performance throughout their schooling. The following are just a few of many healthy choices in the AIM lineup.

Essential Fatty Acids

Omega-3 is one of two essential fatty acids (EFAs) that must come from dietary intake because the human body cannot produce them. The second is omega-6, which often comes from unhealthy food sources, such as fast foods and processed snacks, cookies and crackers made with refined vegetable oils, so most people get more omega-6 than omega-3. AIMega delivers a balanced 2:1 ratio of omega-3 and -6 from an organic seed-oil source. Every cell in you and your child’s body requires a healthy balance of these EFAs to function optimally.

Greens

Students of all ages may not eat (or refuse to eat) enough vegetables. BarleyLife Xtra, a naturally sweet choice of greens, and CoCoa LeafGreens, chocolaty greens, can provide this missing link to good health.  These concentrated powders offer an unsurpassed source of plant-based nutrition to supplement the all-too-frequent poor diets of students.

Send your children back to school with an AIM advantage.

The Heavy Weight on Children

The World Health Organization states childhood obesity is one of the most serious public health challenges of the twenty-first century with 2015 statistics showing that the global number of overweight children under five years of age is over forty-two million.

Since the 1970s, the percentage of obese children in the USA has more than tripled. Today, statistics indicate that one in three children in North America is overweight or obese. And the likelihood is that half all these children will be obese adults.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines obesity as having excess body fat and overweight as having excess body weight for a particular height from fat, muscle, bone, water or a combination of these factors. However you define the two terms, it puts children at risk for health problems that used to be seen only in adults, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.

Even with all of the scary numbers and likely negative results, the fact is that obesity can be prevented or reversed. Parents are encouraged to help their children make a couple of healthy lifestyle changes and enact them together as a family.

Reduce Screen Time

We live in a world where the majority of children spend more time looking at TVs, video games, computers, tablets and smartphones than gazing up at the sky and being physically active beneath it. Limit their screen time and increase physical activity time outdoors.

If all family members regularly disconnect from their gadgets, it opens the door to connecting with each other. And that’s the most important connection of all.

Increase Healthy Nutrition

Eating the right food is one of the simplest ways to stay healthy and maintain an ideal weight. Fruit and vegetables should make up 50 percent of the meal on every plate. Getting creative in the kitchen so that children ask for healthy food is a step worth taking.

AIM can provide supplemental help. Whole-food powders such as CoCoa LeafGreens and ProPeas create a healthy chocolate drink that delivers stomach-filling pea protein and nutrient-packed greens. Getting your kids to ask for BarleyLife or naturally sweet BarleyLife Xtra may be one of the healthiest lifestyle changes you can do for them.

Not Just Survive, But Thrive!

Shared by Mike and Heidi Toft, AIM Directors

“There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world,
and that is an idea whose time has come.”

                                                       –Victor Hugo

I love the fact that if we are still breathing, we have an opportunity to create change. It is never too late to do what you want to do. And there is no time like the present. Catchy phrases are nice, but action is what makes your dream materialize. And if your dream is to help people live well, AIM will help you get there.

We were first introduced to AIM’s juice powder of barley grass in 1998. My dad had been diagnosed with lymphoma. The side effects of the proposed treatment were not ones that my dad was ready to live with. My parents, AIM Directors Larry and Marsha Bernhardt, began to research a holistic approach and were led to The AIM Companies™. I watched as they began to live a radical lifestyle of raw, organic foods and vitamin and mineral supplementation.

Their courage to go this alternative route inspired me, after our third miscarriage, to try a different approach to my hormone deficiencies. Although I know our three children were mostly answers to a lot of prayer, I give much credit to AIM also. Through the years, my mom has made sure we were never without BarleyLife, frequently giving it to us at no cost. We fell in love with other AIM products too. Sometimes we could afford them, but many times they were gifts from my mother, who often gave away BarleyLife to help people in ministry be healthy.

Those who are called to ministry, especially in the role of pastor, will face many challenges. One of these challenges is to remain healthy. It is easy for stress management and healthy lifestyle choices to fall low on the priority list until it is too late and good health has been compromised.

In the summer of 2015, we decided to take action in this area, and I became an AIM Member, promising to be faithful in taking my supplements. I ordered business cards and planned to share the products and build a business. I already had the passion for good health. Through my own health struggles I had learned quite a bit and desired to see other people reach good health.

And then the fight of our lives began.

The church that Mike pastored had some serious problems brewing. We kept up with our AIM supplements as we intended, but there didn’t seem to be mind space left for starting a business. I often looked longingly at my pretty business cards sitting on the shelf and hoped for my second chance. Hope is a powerful thing. Hope is not action, but it does keep the possibility of future action afloat until it is time to act. Our time came in 2017.

Every year, Mike and I each choose a word for the year— a word that encompasses how we want to grow for the next twelve months. Without knowing it, we both chose the same word for 2017: THRIVE! We were excited. We were not going to just survive, we were going to thrive. Little did we know that within two weeks, our family would experience the darkest and most difficult trial of our lives.

I once read that not always telling all the details of your story is the more tasteful choice, and that is what I will choose here. But anyone who has endured the path of complicated grief will understand how difficult it was to consciously make the choice each day to thrive. At the same time, the church problems had only advanced, and it was time to make some big life decisions.

The AIM idea came to both Mike and I one day in March. We started to research what made The AIM Companies so desirable. We spoke with really helpful people from the company, we discussed our plans with family and friends and we prayed about it. We found the AIM Academy on our Member home page and both of us completed our Living Well Coach certifications. We spent the month of March envisioning a future helping people live well.

“Through my own health struggles I had learned quite a bit and desired to see other people reach good health.”

On April 3, we opened for business. We decided that Team Toft would be all about building relationships with people while we coached them on their living well journey. We found that when you get people to talk about their health, they open up about their life. We also found that there are many people who aren’t feeling well and many people who are hurting from the circumstances of life. We committed to pray for each member of Team Toft to thrive. We love the Healthy Cell Concept that challenges us all to reevaluate the choices we make in what we eat, how we think, what we allow into our environment and in why we exercise and supplement with the superior products from AIM. We are most excited when we hear that someone is experiencing improved health.

Realizing that it was time to move on, Mike chose to step down as pastor of the church, where we had been serving for eight years. Our passion is to help people be the best version of themselves by living well and finding God’s purpose for their lives. Because of AIM, God has given us more “work” in this area than ever before. We are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead.

We hope our story gives some late bloomers (like us) out there the inspiration they need to reignite any fires that have been smothered by circumstances. The decision to thrive is yours. Perhaps the time has come for your idea.

Baby Jaxon Loves AIM BarleyLife

Star Sapphire Director Ron Murray became involved with The AIM Companies™ back in 1986 after relatives, Star Sapphire Directors Roger and Florie David, introduced AIM’s barley product to his family. Ron followed suit, sharing the health benefits of AIM to many people. “Nothing is more rewarding than being part of changing people’s lives in meaningful and growthful ways,” Ron stated.

Over the years, Ron witnessed that children whose mothers took BarleyLife right from pregnancy seemed to be head and shoulders above other kids, especially in terms of mental alertness, attention span and the ability to figure things out. Ron acknowledged that his daughter Natalie Murray, Blue Diamond Director, has done really well, having taken BarleyLife ever since she was a young girl. “I started when I was ten years old, so I know what it does for me,” Natalie acknowledged.

When Natalie became pregnant at the age of forty-one, she increased her BarleyLife intake to two to three times a day. “There were long working days, and I wasn’t eating well,” Natalie explained, “so I lived on BarleyLife, the Garden Trio and ProPeas during my pregnancy.”

“I always knew he would be a BarleyLife baby, raised from the womb.”

When Jaxon came into the world, Natalie decided to try giving him just a little powder on the end of her finger. He loved it. As he grew, Jaxon would eagerly go for the green-tipped finger. It wasn’t long before he was eating BarleyLife powder on a breakfast spoon, licking it clean and then saying, “Mom, mom, mom!” Translation: “I want more!”

Jaxon has a big, bright personality and is a very happy, chatty little boy,” Natalie stated. “He is a fast learner with a curious, adventurous spirit. At nine months he is a solid twenty-one pounds, ready to walk and currently has seven teeth. And he can do sit-ups! Since our family has taken AIM products for so long, we believe that it has given Jaxon the best start possible for a strong and healthy future.” And Jaxon’s grandparents, Ron and Lendy Murray, couldn’t be prouder of their little guy.

Eyes are said to be the window to the soul, and a look into Jaxon’s bright eyes reveals a knowing and attentive spirit. “People remark on what a happy and bright boy he is,” Natalie said. “I always knew he would be a BarleyLife baby, raised from the womb.”
With that said, BarleyLife has provided healthy nutrition for three generations of the Murray family.
