This year, Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, May 13, a date to honor all of the wonderful things about moms. There’s the love, the caring, the kindness and the support that good mothers give to their children. This outpouring of motherly concern is an everyday occurrence whenever required. Essentially, motherhood is a full-time job: seven days a week.
For most moms, this enormous responsibility is one they embrace and cherish selflessly. And that responsibility begins with pregnancy and continues through infancy, childhood, the teenage years and beyond. In today’s world, even adult children may depend on parental support.
AIM Moms
Over the years, one thing remains constant when it comes to being an AIM mom: the importance of wholesome nutrition for children. There are so many examples of mothers whose nutritional intake was supplemented by AIM products, which also benefited their children before and after they were born. And in the long run, it just may be one of the most important things moms can do for their kids: getting them off to a healthy start in life.
Chairman’s Club Director Lanny Donald is the mother of four and grandmother of three. Many years ago, Lanny turned her health around with the help of BarleyLife, and she passed this goodness on to the rest of her family. Lanny and her husband, Ken, would eventually share the health benefits of AIM products with patients in their dental practice.
Two of Lanny’s daughters, Jensina and Kalina, who are both AIM Directors, have children of their own, and their babies happened to be born less than a week apart in September 2014. Kalina had twin boys, Kaelan and Keiran, and then a few days later Jensina delivered her son, Kaius. Both moms had taken AIM products for years. During their pregnancies, their key supplemental nutrition came from BarleyLife, LeafGreens and ProPeas, which helped to maintain their energy levels and avoid the usual cravings and symptoms that are often associated with pregnancy. Their children became BarleyLife babies, and today all three boys are healthy three-year-olds who love the taste of AIM nutrition.
AIM Director Tiki McIntyre has been taking AIM’s green barley powder ever since she was a little girl, thanks to her father, so dads can also play a major role in keeping their kids healthy. Tiki ended up influencing her own children, who love whole-food drinks made from AIM products, such as the Garden Trio or CoCoa LeafGreens. “Nowadays, you have to be vigilant about nutrition,” Tiki emphasized. “In my grandfather’s time, you just had nutrition—from the garden …” In today’s world, AIM supplements are a convenient way to improve your nutritional intake and that of your children.
At the same time, it can be challenging to get kids to regularly consume healthy greens. Chairman’s Club Director Ann Sontag had to be a little inventive, such as hiding the green drinks in red or purple sippy cups or giving CoCoa LeafGreens drinks to their kids and letting them think it was chocolate milk.
Once children are openly or surreptitiously introduced to AIM nutrition, they often clamor for it as a result. Preferred Member Jen Beaton will hear a “screech” from her son, Owen, if he doesn’t get a share of his mom and dad’s green shakes that he loves to drink with them every morning.
Health Benefits
Chairman’s Club Director Carolyn Kling knows that AIM products have helped so many people in her family. In one case, a granddaughter suffering from post-partum depression was able to improve her state of mind in around two weeks by taking the Garden Trio (a combination BarleyLife, Just Carrots and RediBeets): a fine example of “letting food be thy medicine” instead of drugs.
Of course, there is still lots of skepticism around when it comes to choosing natural solutions. Royal Emerald Director Madaleine Helm had her doubts about giving
BarleyLife to her asthmatic son. “After using it for only a couple of weeks, my four-year-old’s asthma started to clear up,” Madaleine stated. Her healthy son is now in his twenties.
Good health is the payoff for moms who share AIM nutrition with their families. Royal Emerald Director Dixie Shaw remembers that her five adult children were almost never sick when they were kids. She credits this to her family taking BarleyLife nearly every day. “Little kids are sick all the time, but ours just weren’t,” Dixie stated. “We hardly have anyone sick in our family.”
Rarely having sick family members is one the finest results of being an AIM mom. And keeping your children in good health no matter how old they are may just be the finest Mother’s Day gift of all.
Testimonials should not be construed as representing results everybody can achieve.
