Home Meeting Success

A proven way for your business to grow is to share what you know about the AIM products and business opportunity with others. By demonstrating your enthusiasm, people you meet will begin to share your excitement about starting their own business.

Meetings are one method many successful AIM Member Distributors have used to help build their network. Yet many people are hesitant to organize a meeting of their own. Shyness and a fear of addressing a group of people are just a couple of the reasons some Members put off hosting home meetings of their own.

Really, it’s easy. Here’s how:


  1. Make a list of friends within driving distance of your home. Especially when you are holding your first couple of meetings, inviting people you are already acquainted with will help you relax and feel at ease with your guests. As you build on your successes, you’ll start to experience one of the greatest pleasures of being an AIM Member business builder: meeting and making new friends.
  2. Send invitations 7 to 10 days before the meeting. Whether your invitation is sent by email, text, by mail or using an online event tool such as Evite, it’s important to give your guests plenty of notice so they can plan their own schedules and make time to attend.
  3. Call everyone a day or two before the meeting and offer them transportation. This serves two purposes: it reminds everyone you’ve invited that the meeting is coming up, and it gives you a chance to help someone who may have run into difficulties making it to your house.
  4. Plan your meeting in advance by designing an agenda.


  1. Welcome your guests and have everybody introduce themselves. You can make this as formal or informal as you want, but it is important to future members of your network to know who their fellow “AIM Family” partners will be.
  2. Show a video. AIM hosts several videos and playlists on our YouTube channel, aimusers. Consider showing the “Proven Products!” playlist, which makes explaining the features and benefits of the products easy for you.
  3. Tell your guests why you enjoy the products. It isn’t necessary to make a long, formal presentation, but offering some examples of how the AIM products have changed your life makes the information more immediate, and personal, for your guests.
  4. Hand out AIM literature. Depending on the focus of your meeting, the Living Well catalog, product datasheets, Member Income Plan guide or other literature are great handouts to share with your guests. This is also information they can take with them to read later.
  5. Invite your guests to share their experiences using the products. This is another way for you to help your guests learn more about the AIM products and business opportunity, and it also helps your guests interact and get to know each other better.
  6. Sample the AIM products. Your guests will want to try the products. With a blender and a few of your favorite smoothie recipes, you’re on your way. Mixing up a smoothie with AIM powders is a tasty way to introduce them to AIM’s nutrition that works!
  7. Offer additional information on the products or the business. As with any opportunity, some people are going to be more interested than others. For those who are interested, spend more time with them individually, explaining more about what you’ve learned about the products or the AIM business opportunity.
  8. Start and end your meeting on time. There are few things worse than being trapped by a salesperson who wants to tell you about something you aren’t interested in. To keep up the level of interest, your home meeting shouldn’t be any more than an hour and a half long. If some of your guests are really excited to get started, you can talk with them some more after you officially end the meeting, but let the other attendees go so they can think about it on their own.


  1. Stay in contact with your customers. As your new friends try the AIM products, they are bound to have questions. Don’t make them call you. Go that extra step and call them to answer any questions they might have.
  2. Ask your friends for referrals. As your new Members or customers become excited about the AIM products or opportunity, they are bound to have friends of their own they want to share the products with. Offer to help by hosting a home meeting for them. Working together, you can double your efforts toward success.
  3. Show satisfied users how to get the products wholesale. Many of your guests are going to be as impressed with the AIM products as you are. Teach them how they can order the products wholesale for themselves, and explain how they can further improve the quality of their lives through the AIM business opportunity.
  4. Schedule another meeting within 30 days. Now isn’t the time to slow down in your efforts. Since you’ve discovered that holding your own meetings can be rewarding and fun, make a new list of friends to invite over. Many AIM Members have proven that if you do you’ll be able to reach the level of success you are striving for.

Saying Yes! to Opportunity

Sometimes an opportunity comes along in life that “AIMs” you in a healthy direction. Chairman’s Club Directors Hilton and Edna Smith’s initial introduction to such a prospect was a near miss.

The Smiths were first introduced to AIM’s green juice powder by Dr. John Shewfelt, Chairman’s Club Director and chiropractor. They responded with a polite “No, thank you. We have all our vitamins!”

At that point in time, Hilton and Edna were part of a large, family-owned beef feedlot operation. Testing soil and animal feed showed the need for supplementation to provide a balanced ratio of nutrients, so it made sense to supplement their diets too.

“I was a stay-at-home mom with two sons and helped with the farm bookkeep­ing,” Edna recount­ed. “We were always very dependent on weather and market prices. In fact, our future looked very bleak because each year our agricultural business went further into debt.”

The idea of a home-based business really appealed to her, so they enrolled with a network marketing company to use their vitamins and share them with others to make a little cash. “We achieved some measure of success, similar to AIM Director,” Edna explained “but found it very stressful to maintain the high monthly qualifications to keep our status. We saw too many distributors losing their status to ever dream of being successful with that company.”

AIM came back into the picture after Edna witnessed the positive results from her sister’s use of AIM’s barley juice powder while going through radiation treatments. “Aren’t They All Just Pyramid Schemes?”

How I joined a network marketing company and never looked back

I consider myself open-minded, but in the last few years I have found that the majority of people do not share my open-mindedness. My story begins a few years ago when a friend introduced me to a product called Herbal Fiberblend. I was having some digestive issues … I’ll spare you the details. What I can tell you is Herbal Fiberblend made an incredible difference. I was so impressed that I did some research and decided to get started with the company that offers this product. Within five months, my entrepreneurial business took off and I made the decision to go into it full-time. My friends and family thought I was making a mistake. But I am happy to report that the only mistake I made was not starting sooner!

Before I started my business, I had absolutely no entrepreneurial experience. In less than two years I now make a better income in this so-called “pyramid scheme” than I did as a pharmacy technician, a job I went to school for and went into debt to achieve. The irony is that the income from my new business has actually helped to pay off the balance of my student loans!

“You will never make money in a pyramid scheme.” Honestly, leaving my pharmacy tech position to do entrepreneurial sales full-time was scary. After all, I had a stable income and benefits with an established company. But the people I met working in the business were the first to tell me, “Everything is a pyramid scheme.” There will always be a hierarchy at every company with someone making more than the next person, and so forth.

I now understand exactly what they meant. Looking back, I realize that no matter how hard I worked at the pharmacy, there was always going to be a ceiling on how much I was going to be paid.  When I approached my supervisor about the possibility of advancement, he too expressed the goal to grow in his career and compensation. When you think about, most companies have a ladder to the top, with different “levels.” Sound familiar? Wanting to move up in earning and position is something that nearly all of us strive for in our professional lives. What makes entrepreneurial network marketing unique is you can achieve this without being held back by the hierarchy above you in the organization.

So why do network marketing companies have such a bad name? Because they are NOT all the same. From the moment I made the decision to go full-time as an entrepreneur, family and friends were skeptical. There were remarks like, “You know that a lot of ‘those companies’ have gone out of business or been investigated for being pyramid schemes, right?” Yes, there ARE direct selling companies that have not followed good business practices or have disregarded the rule of law. But it’s important to keep things in perspective. Those companies often fold within a few years. Still, it is important that you do some research before you decide to join any direct selling company. Make sure the company you choose sells a commodity and pays you based on the sale of that commodity. Make sure it is a product or line of products you can confidently stand behind. If either of these is not true, stay clear.

The company I chose has been in business for over 36 years and offers a line of high-quality whole-food and nutritional products that I personally use with confidence.  So, I am able to make an income offering products that I trust in and can help a person’s health and well-being. When I talk to people I never promise anyone that they will make a six-figure income or get a free car, for example.  In fact, early on in the relationship I typically don’t discuss the business opportunity with a customer or prospect unless they ask.  I simply suggest products based on my experience and a person’s needs, emphasizing the product’s benefits and the 30-day money-back guarantee. I certainly don’t claim to be a doctor or know of a “cure-all.”  The nice thing about this company is I don’t even have to build a team of salespeople and can still make a good income.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t talk about the other reasons I enjoy being an entrepreneur. No, it’s not all about the money you can earn! For me, it is also about the relationships. I have made a lot of friends through my business. It’s also about personal development. I was always a follower, having had poor self-esteem since childhood. Being an entrepreneur has helped me become a much more confident person and leader. I didn’t have that sense of purpose and self-assurance in my previous work.

And by the way, most people fail in this kind of business because they lack motivation and initiative. You can be given every tool you need to succeed, but if you do not apply yourself, you fail. It is important to attend to the business, to streamline your prospecting system, and to build and maintain your team. Just like in a regular job, if you do the right things and do them diligently, you will eventually succeed.

I am not discouraged by negative articles about network marketing because I know it works. I’m not wealthy yet, but it won’t be long before I’m making a better income than most of the people I know with college degrees, some of whom never had a job that related to their field of study. And when they complain to me about student loan debt, lack of opportunity for advancement, or working for “the man”, I can guarantee you I will tell them about The AIM Companies.

Actions Speak Louder than Words

Actions aren’t everything; your words can also motivate people.

Encouragement is becoming a faded word in today’s world. We generally don’t receive any sort of encouragement that motivates us to work harder anymore. This is why we need to remember to encourage others by giving them innovative ideas and positive reinforcement. Inspire them to dream of better possibilities

Using words of encouragement to show how much you believe in your team Members—your indispensible downline—will help them realize that you have faith in them. This makes the motivation objective that much easier.

Most of the time, people are limited to their own thoughts and ideas. Unable to think beyond a certain limit, they cannot walk the path of unconventional ways. As a result, their dreams are always curbed. These limitations need to be removed from the minds of your team. Stimulate them to think big by offering new ideas to consider. Fresh and innovative ways of action will make them cross that barrier of limitation.

The Power of Praise

Appreciating people is an integral part of motivation. It is very important to shower praise upon new AIM Members on your team when they reach a new level in the AIM Member Income Plan. As well, never forget to praise those who have done superb jobs but have yet to reach their full potential that will take them to the next level. Your signs of appreciation will boost their self-confidence and enthusiasm for continuing to build their network. Being appreciated is often more important than a promotion to most people, so showing your appreciation is one of the keys to motivating your team.

We love to be praised for whatever we do. Keeping this in mind, if you appreciate individuals because of their efforts, whatever the results may be, you are also affirming their skills and abilities. Being recognized for one’s efforts is vital to being motivated.

Your team needs to see you as a leader, skilled enough to be followed and able to lead from the front. Your actions should not only inspire them, your words must encourage and motivate them on their way to becoming future leaders.

AIM Member Hosts Successful Meeting in South Carolina

Leré Robinson, an AIM Member and Star Sapphire Director hosted an Alive Again meeting in Irmo, South Carolina, on October 24, 2017. Leré shared about being aware of hidden sugars as the holiday season approaches, as well as her passion for The AIM Companies and the AIM products.

Special guest and AIM Chairman’s Club Director Joan van Rensburg shared on the A – Z of the AIM whole-food concentrates and her testimony and gave all those attending great insight into all the added benefits of using many of AIM’s whole-food concentrates and nutritional supplements. There were 30 folks in attendance and they enjoyed a wonderful, colorful array of snacks and drinks all incorporating many of the AIM products!
