In the movie, Contagion, Elliot Gould’s character provides a dismissive view of blogs when he says, “Blogging is not writing. It’s graffiti with punctuation.”
Here at the BarleyLife Blog, it is hoped that the words that have appeared here over the years have moved beyond this negative perspective of unasked for spray-painted designs and have been punctuated by some wishfully interesting articles and useful information. This has always been the goal.
The thing about blogs is that they have a short shelf life. Blogs are custom built in the internet age of instant information and on to the next thing. Unlike graffiti, not a lot of blogs stick to anybody’s wall. It’s a case of read and move on.
That’s why this blog is going to be a little different. It’s going to be a trip down the memory lane of BarleyLife blogs, which could be seen as AIM blowing its own blog horn or simply as an easy way to refocus on some of the good stuff that may have gotten away.

Looking at and into Supplements

Not everyone agrees that supplements are beneficial. Opinions on both sides of the argument have been going on for years. AIM decided that it was a good time for a blog about making a case for supplements.
