AIM Director Emily Layton personally knows that out of the most painful experiences can come beautiful things. She ended up having a business that greatly serves people’s nutritional needs as a result of her 13-year-old daughter’s health issues.
“It started about three years ago,” Emily related. “We were in the throws of darkness, trying to figure out what was going on.”
Recommendations to eliminate many foods that she loved didn’t help. Between mother and daughter, many tears were shed. “It made me dive in to search for something that could help her,” Emily acknowledged. “Fortunately, AIM Director Elizabeth Walter reached out to me, knowing about the struggles we were having.”
Her daughter began taking AIM products including the Garden Trio, AIMega, Frame Essentials, PrepZymes and CoCoa LeafGreens. Within a couple of months, she started to feel like herself again. Today she is thriving.
“I’m so grateful that Liz introduced me to AIM nutrition,” Emily declared. “I feel like this is an understatement but, truly, it has been so life-changing, and not only for my daughter. My whole family has experienced health benefits.”
“We found this beautiful balance. It’s not about what you cut out, it’s more about what you get in your body,” Emily affirmed. “Since it was such a painful journey for us, I felt driven to share a better way that doesn’t have to be so hard.”
When friends and other family members reached out for help, AIM nutrition worked for them as well. “It was amazing,” Emily stated. “I’m just so confident in the AIM products and the power of plants.
This healthy awareness led to the creation of Fortify My Family. “It’s funny, but I wasn’t planning on it turning into a business,” Emily explained. “I just wanted to start an Instagram page to share information.”
Soon, Emily began incorporating AIM products such as the Garden Trio with BarleyLife Xtra into boxes of plant-based food to provide smoothies and meals that people order and pay for through her Instagram page.
“Orders are picked up at our home,” Emily explained. “It got to a point where I was doing 40 boxes a week. When someone doesn’t know what to do nutritionally, it’s so much easier to be handed a box of wholesome nourishment. This all happened organically, and I really love doing it.”
Her journey has led to Emily becoming a shining example for good health in the community of Sandy, Utah. And this AIM Director has shown that she has what it takes to be welcomed into the AIM Member Spotlight.
