Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Kosher and Vegan
For consumers who want accessible information to assess products they pick up from store shelves or view online, certain certifications can be a deciding factor in making choices.
The same can be said for AIM independent distributors sharing the healthy benefits of AIM products: certifications matter. The AIM Companies™ recognizes their importance and has taken steps to certify the AIM lineup. Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Kosher and Vegan certifications help assist Members and those beginning to learn about AIM in choosing high-quality AIM supplements. Some certification logos are already printed on a variety of AIM product labels.
Non-GMO
Nature creates plants and animals that are NOT genetically modified organisms: Non-GMOs. Every AIM product is certified Non-GMO, one of several important certifications in regard to food and natural health products.
Unlike what occurs in nature, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are “bioengineered” plants or animals through the use of gene-splicing. Genetically modified foods remain a worldwide concern. The safety of consuming GMO food is unproven even though Americans have been eating genetically modified ingredients in most processed foods since 1996.
A wide range of environmental damage and health risks has been linked to GMO food. By 2020, all food makers in the USA will have to label bioengineered (BE) food and ingredients. Having bioengineered (BE) on the label instead of genetically modified organism (GMO) suggests the negative association that GMO has in the minds of people all around the world.
It’s worth repeating: every AIM product is certified Non-GMO.
Gluten-Free
Celiac disease is a widespread health problem, roughly affecting 1 in 100 people globally. Those with this disorder have to avoid foods that contain gluten because eating these proteins found in wheat and other grains can cause damage in the small intestine, leading to a number of uncomfortable symptoms and poor absorption of food nutrients.
Non-celiac gluten sensitivity has been deemed “The New Frontier of Gluten Related Disorders” in a 2013 study, so gluten issues are affecting even more people. Being able to identify gluten-free foods and supplements is of utmost importance to anyone with gluten sensitivity.
The AIM Companies has tested for the presence of gluten in all of its products. The vast majority tested gluten-free. Members and those new to AIM can refer to the and AIM website to easily identify all of these gluten-free products, including BarleyLife powder, which is a safe “superfood” for anyone with gluten issues.
Kosher
Kosher food laws set a high bar in terms of cleanliness, purity and quality, so people not only of the Jewish faith look for the OK symbol on labels. The AIM Companies has achieved kosher certification for the Garden Trio—BarleyLife, Just Carrots and RediBeets—as well the BarleyLife powder in the 180-gram canisters and sample packs and will continue to expand kosher certification to its product lineup. Watch for the OK symbol.
Vegan
For anyone following a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle, it is essential to know what can and cannot be consumed. The certified vegan logo indicates products that do not contain animal products or by-products and have not been tested on animals. All of the AIM products that are certified vegan can be easily identified with this logo on the AIM website and AIM product catalog.
As time and label space allow, more of these certification logos will appear on AIM product labels. In the meantime, if you are an independent distributor, let people know about product certifications whenever you share your knowledge of AIM nutrition. Certifications matter.
