I used to have many minor yet annoying health problems. For instance, every fall and winter I would come down with a cough, runny nose, voice loss, cracked mouth corners, broken fingernails and itchy elbows.
I would scratch my skin so much that it became red and blistery, making me feel so uncomfortable and embarrassed. And I was constipated. On top of all of this, I had to constantly watch my weight.
I knew Chairman’s Club Director Dr. Yu-Shiaw Chen and heard she offered a 10-week Healthy Weight for Life nutrition program. I thought it might help me, so I enrolled and ended up learning a lot from her. For example, I did not know sugar is our biggest enemy and that water is so vital to us, just like air.
