Chelsea Wewege: On Pointe Nutrition

Only twenty-five international students are admitted annually into the renowned Central School of Ballet in London. Hopefuls submit applications and audition tapes if they cannot try out in person. AIM-sponsored ballet dancer Chelsea Wewege of Durban, South Africa, was selected based solely on her video, a rare feat. She’s also won two scholarships to the American Academy of Ballet Summer School of Excellence in New York City, earned her American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards to level twelve (with gold distinction) and passed her advanced Royal Academy of Ballet Exam also with distinction.

Since the age of six, Chelsea has dreamed of becoming a principal ballerina with the Royal Ballet Company in London. “This is a huge aspiration, but I believe through determined hard work and perseverance, it can be possible,” she said.

Determined hard work comes in the form of daily exercise, an hour of cardio, e.g., walking, swimming, or aerobics and an hour of Pilates. That’s on top of the time she spends at dance practice. In order to maintain such a grueling schedule, she ensures her nutrition is on point.

“Rehearsals and classes can carry on for hours; therefore, if you don’t feed your body what it needs, you will become weak and never dance professionally. My entire life I’ve used BarleyLife Xtra. I either take it with fruit juice in the morning or mix into a fresh fruit drink to take during class. BarleyLife gives me energy to push through demanding classes and keep alert all day.

“When I train in London, I will make sure to use ProPeas and AIMega. ProPeas is lovely to use on the go and is light enough to have between classes and rehearsals. I can trust ProPeas as there are no harmful ingredients in it and is the perfect go-to when I need instant, lasting energy.

“AIMega provides the perfect oils to keep my nerves, metabolism, skin, nails and organs functioning healthily and at their peak. I also use Herbal Fiberblend and PrepZymes to keep my body functioning, no matter where I’m at or what type of food I’m eating.

“I strongly believe that what you put into your body determines your performance. Natural, plant-based supplements lead to pure and real output, the kind involved in success; whereas unnatural supplements lead to burnout.”

The AIM Companies is proud to sponsor Chelsea Wewege, daughter of AIM Members Allison and Anthony Wewege. We look forward to hearing more about her continued successes in London and worldwide.
