The AIM REPLY to K-Beauty

Over the past 20 years, the culture of South Korea has found a presence around the globe. Examples include popular K-pop groups like Blackpink and BTS, the multiple Oscar-winning film “Parasite” and the most streamed show of all time on Netflix, “Squid Games.”

Ahead of all of these cultural phenomena arriving on Western shores was Korean beauty, commonly known as K-beauty. With an emphasis on achieving radiant skin through multi-step routines, these Korean products used innovative formulations with unique ingredients that focus on prevention to help to maintain healthy skin.

Back in 2019 when AIM began working on research and development for a skincare line, the pilot project was based on K-beauty. Over those years, multiple formulations were used in trials with a group of participating AIM Members until their responses for each formulation was overwhelmingly positive. At that point, AIM had truly created something special: REPLY skincare.

The developmental focus was on botanical actives and laboratory-derived ingredients, using a scientific approach that would make each REPLY skincare product safe, effective and as natural as possible. All of the ingredients are shown on the products for making informed decisions about usage for skin and any sensitivities. The extensive research and formulation testing for the REPLY skincare line has resulted in a balance between safety and efficacy.

Even though product development was initially rooted in K-beauty, REPLY is rooted in nutrition that connects to the history of AIM and the juice powder of barley grass. Using barley seed extract as the base ingredient for the REPLY products delivers a uniquely nourishing and protective element for the skin. The Oil to Foam Cleanser, the Essence/Toner and the Day & Night Cream all contain barley seed extract along with their individual ingredient formulations that optimize their functions in the 3-step REPLY skincare routine.
