The Fountain of Youth Is Filled with CoCoa

The anti-aging industry rakes in over 260 billion dollars a year worldwide. Annually, Americans shell out nearly 11 billion on cosmetic surgery. Seems like everybody is willing to pay a pretty penny to have some control over the aging process. Ironically, one of the best tried-and-true methods for that is absolutely free. It’s called exercise.  It’s been shown to keep your veins younger and your skin younger, and it’ll help you stave off age-related diseases. It also keeps you fit and trim.

Exercise’s best friend is diet. A balanced diet may actually be more important than exercise in terms of overall health and body composition. However, unlike exercise which you can just go outside and do at any time, food costs a bit of money. Since you have to buy (or possibly hunt, catch, grow or farm) the stuff anyway, you should choose foods that may have natural anti-aging properties, like CoCoa LeafGreens for example.

A recent study published in the Journal of Nutrition found that women who consumed 320 milligrams of cocoa flavanols daily saw decreases in skin roughness and improvements in skin elasticity and facial wrinkles. The researchers believe that the antioxidants found in cocoa were responsible for these benefits.

The study concludes: (Journal of Nutrition)

In moderately photo-aged women, regular cocoa flavanol consumption had positive effects on facial wrinkles and elasticity. Cocoa flavanol supplementation may contribute to the prevention of the progression of photo-aging.
