Nutritiously Smooth Smoothies

AIM Star Sapphire Director Leré Robinson features a fine selection of recipes on her Alive Again website— http://www.aliveagainonline.com. The follow­­ing taste of the tropics with a LeafGreens variation is one of her many appetizingly healthy creations.

Tropical LeafGreens Smoothie

Ingredients TropicalLeafGreensSmoothie
1 tsp LeafGreens
1 ripe kiwi fruit, peeled
3–4 chunks of frozen pineapple
6 oz cold water
Handful of ice
1 dessert spoon fit ’n fiber (optional)

Directions
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth. Add more water if too thick. Serve with a sprig of fresh mint.

This second recipe comes from the land down under. It’s a sensational, non-dairy drink containing fit ’n fiber, ProPeas and RediBeets combined with banana and three anti-inflammatory herbs.

Banana Beet Smoothie

IngredientsBananaBeetSmoothie
2 tbsp fit ’n fiber
1 scoop ProPeas
1 tsp RediBeets*
1 small banana
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 cup chilled water
A couple of ice cubes for an extra chill

Directions
Mix everything in a blender, pour and enjoy!

* For an athlete serving of RediBeets, use four teaspoons.
