Bees and BarleyLife

We first learned of green barley powder in 1987. Judy suffered from anemia constantly and took iron medication with its associated problems. After six weeks of daily use of this green powder, there was a major change in her blood iron levels.

Then I got the courage to try this “green stuff” myself. Three years previously, I had a major heart episode. After taking these greens for three months, I felt well enough to stop taking all the prescribed heart medication I was on.

When AIM came to Australia, we didn’t have to be convinced; we joined immediately. In 1995, we were were awarded a trip to San Francisco, sponsored by The AIM Companies™. That was a great experience.

Our favorite products are BarleyLife, RediBeets and Just Carrots powders. In October 2016, Judy had a bad fall and broke her upper right arm. We then added CalciAIM to the Garden Trio, and she is doing fine now.

As beekeepers, we learned that if our bees were struggling to find good pollen sources, they would consume BarleyLife. It amazed us how it helps to raise the crude protein level in their bodies.

To get the BarleyLife to the bees, we just sprinkle about 10 grams of the powder in the bottom box where the brood— young developing bees—is located. We do this once a month, and it also helps them in cleaning the hive.

BarleyLife doesn’t improve the actual honey, but it does improve the health of the bees, so they can produce more honey with a lower moisture content. By eating the BarleyLife, the bees are more resilient and able to cope better with environmental stress.

Most honeys have health benefits for people. Citrus honey is helpful with respiratory problems. All honeys give an energy boost to your day. The very dark honeys help with lower bowel conditions. For example, a person who had been told they needed to have major bowel surgery came to us in 1994. They have been taking BarleyLife and Banksia honey ever since and have not required any surgery.

Actively Fit Firefighter and Father

As much as you want something to happen right away, it’s not going to because there’s a different plan. These are the words of Red Rush Athlete Andrew Tagdhiri, who for many years dreamed of being a father and becoming a firefighter.

Back in 2010, he owned a gym in California. “I really wanted to get into the fire service, helping people and being the first one people call when they’re in trouble,” Andrew stated, “but life wasn’t leaning me toward that way.” So three years later, he moved to Idaho. “I fell in with the right people and worked for the right people.”

Andrew had been actively involved with CrossFit, which is how he met Phillip Jermann, biologist and quality assurance manager for The AIM Companies. Andrew also found a gym, Snake River CrossFit, where he found himself to be an asset, and started coaching full time for owners Frank and Michaela Beauvais. Frank happened to be a well-known firefighter in the valley. “He took me under his wing, and I followed in his footsteps,” Andrew said.

In August 2017, Andrew began four months of training at the Treasure Valley Joint Fire Academy. “The first three months focused on drill work followed by a month in a classroom,” Andrew stated. “Phillip had hooked me up with Red Rush in 2014 at CrossFit, and it had made my lungs feel fresh. The amount of air and oxygen that I could get was a big difference than when I didn’t take it. So it really helped me physically with the grueling, firefighter tryout process and mentally for the focus I needed in the classroom. Other guys got tired, but Red Rush helped me to keep pushing through.”

Four days before Andrew graduated from the academy, his wife, Bri, gave birth to their first child, a baby girl named Elliet. “Pretty good finale to 2017,” Andrew exclaimed. “Everything we’ve been praying for ever since we’ve known each other. Bri’s known that I’ve wanted to be a firefighter and a dad for a long time. All of it came true in perfect timing. Life aligned so perfectly.”

Andrew and his family live in Nampa, Idaho, home of AIM USA. Red Rush continues to be a daily part of his shift work at the Meridian Fire Department. “Something I was made to do is to be there for people, an avenue outside of coaching CrossFit or athletes, to help people, but now in people’s everyday lives, not just at the gym,” Andrew said. “And Red Rush is working out to better my skills in a way of being able to perform as an occupational athlete. Sometimes I have to make game-time decisions that can affect lives. Red Rush keeps me focused and doesn’t let fatigue make those decisions.”

Earth Day Message

In 1969, a major oil spill off Santa Barbara polluted beaches for thirty-five miles along the California coast. Up to that point in time, this environmental disaster had been the worst oil spill in America’s history. Images of blackened coastline and oil-drenched wildlife shocked and appalled people all around the world.

The devastation motivated Gaylord Nelson, a U.S. senator from Wisconsin, to bring together the wealthy and the-not-so wealthy, those living in rural areas and those living in big cities, Republicans and Democrats, all in support of the very first Earth Day on April 22, 1970. Before the year’s end, the United States Environmental Protection Agency had been created.

By 1990, Earth Day was recognized in over 140 countries, bringing global awareness to environmental issues. Today, over a billion people in 192 countries celebrate April 22 as a day to change environmentally destructive human behavior as well as create policies that nurture the health of our shared planet.

The AIM of Earth Day

Back in 1983, AIM introduced The Healthy Cell Concept™, guidelines that involve five components to help keep your cells healthy. One of them is environment.
By examining the conditions of your environment, you may find factors, such as air pollution, exposure to chemicals or the degradation of agricultural land, which can negatively impact your cells and affect the health of your body. Barley Baby

The nutrition a woman chooses for her herself can have a profound effect on both her health and that of her children. Tanya van der Westhuizen, AIM Director, knows this to be true after experiencing two completely different pregnancies: before and after AIM Nutrition that Works.

After her first child was born prematurely, Tanya found herself constipated, depressed and overweight, while still craving unhealthy food. “I had no idea of what was going on with my hormonal system and body,” she admitted. “And I did not know anything about nutrition or the impact it could have on the development of a baby.”

The health of her firstborn was compromised by a weak immune system. Like Tanya, her little boy suffered from a bad skin condition and had food issues. Is It Time for Inner Spring Cleaning?

What has happened to the health of people in this great nation of ours? Many of today’s diseases have come about because of drastic changes in our environment, food that is being chemically treated and food additives that are toxic to our systems. So we suffer from illnesses that never plagued mankind before.

The colon is at the root of these problems. A regular diet of refined carbohydrates and a lack of dietary fiber increases the transit time of bowel wastes and stimulates the production of putrefactive bacteria in the bowel. When the colon is impacted with sugar, hamburgers, French fries, etc., how can the body ever expect to assimilate any good nutrients? Such eating habits have contributed to our nation’s obesity epidemic. This is all the more reason to clean the impacted fecal matter from our colons and eat healthier food to maintain them.

Cleansing the Colon

While we recommend maintaining a daily habit of keeping your bowels moving, we are often asked how often one should do a more intense cleanse, a “spring cleaning” of sorts. Remember, it’s easier to clean a colon that’s well maintained than to clean a colon that’s had a year of binging and gorging.

Herbal Fiberblend, BarleyLife and Composure along with Just Carrots, RediBeets and PrepZymes should be used on a daily basis to maintain good health. But as mentioned before, with all the chemicals and additives in our food, even a well-kept colon could use a good spring cleaning every three or six months, and annually.

A Leader Thinks Outside the Box

Being an independent distrib­utor opens a world of ways to share the benefits of AIM products. It’s a great idea to always keep your options open and look for new opportunities that you may have never considered.

Darlene Vandermey, AIM Director, decided to try something different after attending The AIM Companies’ 2017 Celebration in Nashville and hearing comments from her friends Mary Weber, AIM Star Sapphire Director, and Barb Snodgrass, AIM Director. “I needed to think outside the box,” Darlene admitted.

Approaching her church committee, Darlene offered to teach classes entitled “Achieve Vibrant Health Physically, Spiritually and Mentally.” Not only was her kind proposal given the green light, the space she needed would be free, so she did not have to charge for the classes. “I thought people might bring friends,” Darlene said, “so it could also work as a community outreach.”

For six weeks from mid-September to October 2017, Darlene taught on Wednesdays, giving people the choice of morning or evening classes so that they never had to miss out on the valuable information she wished to share. “The average attendance between the two classes was eighteen people,” she noted.

Focusing on the Healthy Cell Concept (HCC), Darlene showed one component of the AIM DVD each week. The informative 1½-hour classes included AIM products for each HCC topic, a scripture verse, visuals, and aspects of Darlene’s recovery from fibromyalgia by using AIM products and making lifestyle changes. Week six concentrated on digestive health.

Darlene regularly empha­sized the out­standing quality control of AIM products. One class included a “Self-Care” session, offering hand soaks in Mag-nificence CWR and BarleyLife facials. During class breaks, participants enjoyed AIM drinks and healthy snacks featuring AIM ingre­dients. Recipes for each were provided on the final class.

At the end of six weeks, there was a display of scrapbook pages with pictures and sayings that Darlene had prepared weekly. During the last class, she held a prize draw and shared the benefits of becoming an AIM Member, having played the DVD of the “In Partnership For Life” song at the end of each class.

By thinking outside the box, Darlene found a new way of sharing both the AIM products and the Healthy Cell Concept. “Many of those who attended are now AIM Mem­bers enjoying vibrant health,” Darlene stated. “Thanks, AIM,
for amazing products, sup­port and being there for Members!”
